This policy explains our practices. Visiting this website is not consent to optional tracking or marketing.
Information used for your rental
When you contact us or make a reservation, we receive information you provide, such as your name, contact details, rental dates, trailer choice, messages, and pickup or return information. ID is verified during booking. An insurance photo is collected during pickup. Pickup and return photos, accepted agreements, payment status, and records of damage or disputes help us manage the rental.
Lockii provides the online booking tools and AI support chat. Messages and booking details you choose to share in chat are processed by Lockii to help with your rental. Payment details are handled through the payment provider shown at checkout. We receive payment and reservation records, not your full card number through this website. Please do not email or text payment-card details.
Rented trailers may have GPS tracking as described in the rental agreement. Trailer location information is used to protect, manage, and recover the trailer; it is not website advertising data.
Information from using the website
Our hosting and security services process technical information needed to deliver pages and protect the site, such as IP address, browser information, request times, and errors. These necessary functions are separate from optional analytics and advertising.
If you allow Analytics, Google Analytics receives visit and trailer-page activity, device and browser information, IP address used by Google to derive approximate location, and cookie identifiers. Our website’s Google tag does not enable Google advertising storage, Google Signals, or personalized advertising. We remove query strings and fragments from the page locations our Google events provide.
If you allow Advertising, Meta Pixel sends visits and trailer-page activity to Meta, which can associate those events with its own identifiers and accounts for advertising and measurement. We do not supply names, emails, phone numbers, messages, or payment details to our website Pixel. Automatic event configuration is disabled. Our Pixel does not initialize on booking/account pages or URLs with query strings or fragments.
We do not use a session-replay tool on this website. The cookie policy explains the controls and browser storage.
Why we use information
We use rental and contact information to answer questions, provide requested rentals, verify eligibility, process payments, send booking instructions and service messages, handle returns and claims, prevent fraud, and meet legal and accounting obligations. Optional analytics helps us understand website use. Optional Meta tracking helps measure and manage advertising.
Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our bases for processing are steps you request before a contract and performance of the rental contract; legitimate interests in customer support, security, and protecting our equipment, subject to your rights; applicable legal obligations; and your consent for optional tracking and separately authorized marketing. We do not use website activity to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
You do not need optional tracking or marketing consent to rent. Without information necessary to verify or complete a reservation, we may be unable to provide that rental.
Who receives information?
We use providers for website hosting and security, Lockii booking and rental management, payment processing, and customer communications. They receive information needed for their roles. Google receives optional analytics information and Meta receives optional advertising information only when their respective website purposes are enabled.
We may also disclose relevant records to insurers, repair or recovery providers, professional advisers, or authorities when needed for a rental claim, safety, fraud prevention, or a legal requirement. If the business changes ownership, relevant records may transfer subject to applicable privacy obligations.
We do not sell customer lists for money. Optional advertising disclosures to Meta may qualify as “sharing,” targeted advertising, or a “sale” under some state privacy laws. You can prevent our website’s optional disclosures using . That choice does not stop necessary booking or security processing.
Booking, payment, and externally linked websites have their own notices. Settings on this website control our Google and Meta website tags; they do not automatically change tracking settings on Lockii’s hosted booking service or independently configured server-side booking integrations. Texts and marketing
We use your contact details for rental-related replies, confirmations, reminders, pickup and return instructions, and support. Marketing texts require a separate opt-in; cookie consent is not SMS consent, and marketing consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies and carrier rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts or HELP for help. You can also contact Joel directly.
We do not share mobile numbers or SMS opt-in information with third parties for their own marketing. Service providers may process that information to deliver or support our messages.
Your cookie and advertising choices
Analytics and Advertising start off. Accept either purpose, reject both, or save individual choices. Ignoring or closing the settings does not accept tracking. Use at any time to withdraw consent or to turn both purposes off in one step.
We honor Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track by keeping both optional website purposes off. A saved choice is specific to this browser and expires after 180 days. Clearing browser storage, using a different browser, or using another device requires a new choice. If storage is unavailable, your selection lasts for the current page session.
Withdrawal stops future events from our website tags and removes their accessible first-party cookies. Storage, retention, and international processing
We operate in the United States. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries, where privacy protections can differ. Contact us for information about the providers and transfer arrangements relevant to your rental or request. Where international-transfer rules apply, legally required safeguards must be in place.
We keep reservation and payment records while needed for the rental, accounting and legal obligations, or unresolved claims. Contact messages and rental photos are kept while needed for support, equipment condition, or claims. Records subject to a dispute or legal hold may be kept longer; otherwise records no longer needed are deleted or anonymized. Provider retention depends on the service and account settings. Cookie expiration is separate from retention of information already collected.
Security and children
We use HTTPS, access controls, and service providers to help protect information. No website or storage system is completely secure. If you believe information has been exposed, contact us promptly.
Rentals are for adults. This website is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Contact us if a child’s information was submitted so we can address it.
Policy changes
We post updates here with a new date. A material change to the optional purposes or vendors requires a new consent choice before the changed optional tracking runs.
