What should be inspected on a used trailer?
Inspect the frame, welds, deck, axles, suspension, bearings, hubs, brakes, tires, coupler, jack, wiring, lights, ramps and securement points before buying.

- Even tire wear and correct load ratings

How should purchase value be calculated?
Compare the all-in used cost after immediate repairs with the delivered cost, warranty and financing cost of the closest new trailer.
For a rental business, also estimate lost revenue from downtime and whether the unit’s appearance and features support the intended daily rate.
